art\u00edsticas familiares, Nota geneal\u00f3gica<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"entry-bio my-2\">Presumivelmente nascido no romper do s\u00e9culo, em Rouen como denuncia a raiz topon\u00edmica do seu nome, Jo\u00e3o de Ru\u00e3o, de cuja ascend\u00eancia n\u00e3o temos fontes geneal\u00f3gicas, encontra-se documentada em Portugal em 1528, onde certamente atrav\u00e9s de D.Jorge de Meneses, confirmado senhor de Cantanhede em 4 de Abril de 1527, se acerca das terras do Mondego, para lavrar o ret\u00e1bulo da Varziela, que ser\u00e1, na express\u00e3o de Nogueira Gon\u00e7alves, a p\u00e1gina de introdu\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 sua obra de Coimbra, cidade em que centrar\u00e1 a sua actividade durante mais de meio s\u00e9culo, at\u00e9 \u00e0 sua morte ocorrida na freguesia de Descobertas em 1488, \u00e0 \u00e9poca apresentavam-se semelhantes a uma gruta e rapidamente passaram a ser exploradas por muitos dos mais c\u00e9lebres artistas italianos da \u00e9poca.
